Can some one help me to fill a gap please?

I have a John Matthews marrying a Sarah Jordain in Minister (Sheppey) on 20th July 1765

They had three children baptised in Minster

John           26/10/1765   
Sarah Ann   25/11/1766
William         14/2 1769

Then a gap with an Elizabeth born about 1776 baptism not found

Then these three baptised in Queenborough

James              25/3/1783
Sally Copper     8/3/1786
John                 6/8/1788 (died a few days later)

John Matthews was a bricklayer

Does anyone know where the family were between 1769 & 1783 - there appears to be no other John & Sarah Matthews on Sheppey or in Milton by Sittingbourne around this period
