census 1841/1851 cargill

could anybody do a census look up for manson or Craig family's in cargill around about 1851 as i am trying to find out more relatives in that area.

any info would be really appreciated

Only one 1841 entry in Cargill for Manson - address just Woodhead

thanks for all your replys but still need help /

have been to register house and ran out of time,and found following

peter manson b1772 and died 29/12/1860 at gallowhill(not sure where that is)
his parents may have been George manson and Janet small(cargill)
jean Craig born 1782 and died a pauper 21/1/1878 cargill

per opr had twins George and Alexander who were born 21/07/1821 and George was married to Margaret Menzies (dull ,parents were alexander menzies and margaret carmichael)
on 2/12/1847 per lds at st martins
can anybody help with more info if possible

With regards to Gallowhill, there is one in Crieff and another in Kinross. Another larger one in Lanarkshire.

I don't know which is more likely for your man.

There is a very small hamlet about 1.5 kms SE of Cargill called Gallowhill. You can see it on the OS map for Blairgowrie.
