Hi Elizann: Not that I know of, but from what I understand it is quite a big family when you get back a bit. I will look into it a little more. I have some handwritten info from the book I mentioned. Descendants eventually ran The Malt Shovel Hotel in Burley in Wharfedale though.
Regards. Michele

Hi
I have a copy of the booklet you mentioned - although it is not a booklet as such but a a list of descendants which unfortunately doesn't show any place names. It is however very interesting. I managed to get my copy via Family Search.org but this took about 8 months and they sent a copy on microfiche to their office in Pontefract for me.
If you would like a copy or specific info please let me know together with your email address.
Do you have much info on the Kilner's? and where do you fit in?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Malcolm

I would love a copy! I will send you a personal message with my email. That would be wonderful. Thank you!
My grandparents were: Arnold Hatton and Winifred Marshall Patterson. Winifred's parents were: Tom Chamley Patterson and Ellen Batty Tom's parents were Thomas Hune Patterson and Mary Elizabeth Kilner (1857-1931). So Mary Elizabeth Kilner was my great, great, grandmother. I have a picture of her and her family from about 1882 at her wedding and one from 1892 when they owned the Malt Shovel Hotel.
Her parents were Daniel Fearon Kilner, Misc. occupations, (1828-1892) and Ann Chamley. Daniel's parents were William Kilner, Upholsterer (1789-1834) and Clementina Satterthwaite. William's parents were William Kilner, Vicar of Ings (1735-1813 +/-) and Mary Newby. William's parents were James Kilner (1703 +/- - 1743 +/-).
What about you, Malcolm? How do you come to fit in with the Kilners?
All the best. And thank you again. McCann

Hi:
I am a descendant of James and Ann Kilner of Mansergh, via:
Edmund Kilner (1727-1806) and Agnes Scott (b1744) Thomas Kilner (1770-1855) and Ellen Hull (1770-1854) John Kilner (b1805) and Alice Smith (1805-1838) William Kilner (b1829) and Lucy Stone (1831-1869)
Their second son, my great-grandfather William Kilner (1864-1890) moved from Aston Manor, Birmingham, to Trawsfynydd, North Wales as a teenager, worked on a farm, married the farmer`s daughter, and died at age 26 in a slate mine accident.
I am very interested in reviewing the contents of the book, The Descendants of James and Ann Kilner of Mansergh, Westmoreland, and would love a copy.
Dave

Hi Dave.
Welcome to the family. It appears that you, Malcolm and myself are all the same generation, 8th generation descended from James and Ann - very distant cousins. I can send you eveything I have, but I believe you must have a couple of posts before I can email you personally. I'll try it and see how it goes.
Regards, Cousin McCann
