In 1861, William Davison would be 36, married to Elizabeth 31, with children Edward 11, Annie 10, John Thomas 8, Mary J 5, and Michael 2.
Details this census could help me with are where they were living, where was Elizabeth born, and where was John Thomas born and probably others things I don't know I don't know.

Hi Helen,
The only information I have is by deduction, in that the 1871 census data gave the place of birth for the children of the family born in 1860 and 1864 as Shildon, so thats probably where they were.
Does that help?
Bob.

Thanks Helen,
Told me what I was looking for & about the boarder.
Elizabeth, although illiterate as witnessed by her mark on Wedding Cert., gave her age as 19 when she married in 1849, and therefore born in 1830, although I reckon she was christened in Newcastle on 21/04/1828. Now in 1861 she says shes 28, and therefore born in 1833, interesting.
Maybe I'll go for her death certificate next & see what that says.
Bob.
