Hi,
Please could some look at the passenger lists from England to Canada. I'm looking for Alfred Henry Pritchard, born abt 1869 in Broomfield, Somerset. He left England after 1881 and probably before 1891 as I can't find him on the census. I think he was married but I don't know his wife's name, if anyone can find them I can get the marriage certificate to check it's the right person.
Thanks

I can't find him in the Canada 1901/1911 censuses (http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/ ) unfortunately - that would have given you his wife's name and hopefully year of emigration. Do you know anything about where in Canada he was supposed to have ended up?
I see his family are in London in 1881. In 1901 in Chiswick there's an Alfred H. Pritchard, 32, b. Somerset, with wife "Annice" (Annie Hawkins, m. in 1895 according to freebmd, possibly) and daughter "Beatrice M", I think. So might he have only been temporarily in Canada?

I'm pretty sure he stayed there, as I've got family in Canada now who are descended from him. I'm not sure where abouts though.
I think that's him in 1901 so maybe he went after that. I'll get the marriage certificate to check.
Thanks for looking
