tait and donaldson census info help

looking into family tree and wondering if anybody could help with any info on the following

my relatives Robert Tait(b1843 ?) and Mary Donaldson (b 1844 ?) were married in peebles 19/06/1868 and had daughter Robina born  4/01/1876 at freer street Edinburgh.

any further info would be appreciated (names ,places dates etc)

I found them on the 1881 census at   Lanark Road,Tenemented Attach Cottage,Colinton,Edinburgh.

I found Robert Taits birth   21/10/1842 at Kinross and Christening 01/01/1843 at Kinross with the parents James Tait and Janet Adie.Then more children for Robert.
Mary    Tait b 23/04/1871    Edinburgh
Catherine Tait b 24/01/1874   """""""""
Jessie       Tait b 22/03/1869  """""""""

from the IGI looks like james tait and janet adie had the following children

george tait b. 1835
euphemia tait b. 1838
robert tait b. 1842
helen keir tait b. 1845

this could be them in 1841(from freeCEN)

sandport kinross kinross'shire(ALL BORN KINROSS)
james tait 36 woolen handloom weaver
janet tait 25
euphemia tait 3

if you have robert tait and mary donaldson's marriage cert it should confirm
the names of the parents

you are correct James Tait and Jessie Aida were his parents

anybody any idea were sandport is in kinross

does anybody have any info on the Aida is a very unusual name ?

there is a sandport & sandport gate in the south east of kinross down from
the kirkgate                                                                                                                           kirkgate and sandport are on the 1823 map of kinross
(source national library of scotland online town plans/views 1580 - 1919)

born c1845

what was mary's parents names from her marriage cert(1868) ?

when i saw mary tait and granddaughter i couldn't believe it

now there is a submitted entry on IGI -

so was mary donaldson(tait) actually the daughter of rachel donaldson and
passed off as the daughter of james and janet ?  Undecided
