Netherton...what district?
« on: Friday 06 March 09 04:27 UTC (UK) »

I have just discovered my great-great grandmother was born in Netherton but I can't find any registry record for there. What district would it come under?

I see lots of Sarah Ann Priest registered in Dudley would this be the right dictrict?

I forgot to mention this was back in the mid 1800's (c.1861)

If you look the death up in freebmd it will have the registry district against the entry.   It will also have a number which is a hyperlink and if you click on that it will take you to a list of places covered by that registry.

Maybe this will help.

Thanks. That helped, but the Dudley website doesn't seem to allow me to order from the US Sad

Anyway at least I can order them from the GRO indexes and find the right one that way Smiley

Thanks again.
