Thought other members would be interested to know that after going on the 1837.com website today to look for some deaths I found that 1837.com have indexed some counties for 1861 for look up.
They have covered Middlesex, London, Surrey and Kent at the moment. You pay to view the names you wish to view. I believe you get 55 credits for £5.oo I had to spend three credits to view each census entry. I have found three entries today, very worthwhile as I did not have their actual address.
Thought you might like to look at this. They are going to put more counties on as time goes on. Worth keeping an eye on.

Thank you for bringing this site to my attention especially for the 1861 census. I found 16 members of my immediate family, for which I gleefully paid 5 pounds, and had some extra credits left, and was able to determine some death dates/places as well.
I was the most pleased to find my gr grandmother Harriet at age 13, my first census find for her, as she left the UK in 1864.
