I  have got a Thomas Sterne B.1860 possibly baptised in Co Cavan (C of I)
anyone got any ideas where I can start to look for him?

Hi Richard,

He's listed not on the Emerald Ancestors database.

Familysearch.org lists two guys named Thomas Sterne born in Ireland in the 1800s ... one in 1802 the other in 1879

Hi Christopher,
I dont think Familysearch.org has all the records on it, the pilot site  http://pilot.familysearch.org/ shows up different ancesters. A lot of my family dont show up on either sites.
My Thomas had 2 sons (possibly more) in the 1890's. Its looking like a trip to Ireland and paper sift.

definitely try http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/gv_family_search which is about 1860-1865
STERNE  THOMAS C.  NEWGROVE  MONAGHAN  TEDAVNET 
try http://ahd.exis.net/monaghan/
one familysearch.org Sterne marriage to a Rachel is listed under a birth in Co Cavan
it also looks like some spelling exist as stern

Thanks for that Jim,
I presume you mean Rachael Beatty? I had seen her, 6 years apart on birth dates (thomas and mary anne) she is a possible candidate.
