Hi,
I am seeking information on Patrick James McQuillan and his wife Anne Reedy or Ready, who were stated to be from the parish of Drogheda. This is not my family I am doing this for a friend of my husband.

Any information on them or their family background, would be greatfully received, as he knows nothing about them, and I would like to be able to give him something.

We really can't help you until we have an idea of dates involved.
Did they have any children? if so their ages will provide a rough guide to parents' ages.
Did they stay in Ireland? sometimes overseas census and death records provide vital clues.
If you can give us more detail then we can find information for you or suggest where to search next.
