Is Hollisey her married name?  Did it come from a census?  What was her husbands name?  As much info as possible will help find her.

Ok I've found Jane on the 1871 census

Park Sq Bristol

Jane Hollisey H W 39 Seamstress Langport Somerset
Frank  "        Son  14                           Bristol

RG10 2537 41 7

There are 2 Hollisey births in the Bristol area between 1850 and 1870

Francis Widdicombe HOLLISEY  Sept Q 1858
Bristol 6a 47

Anna Maria Cokely HOLLISEY June Q 1864
Bristol 6a 60

Francis looks a good bet to me as being Frank but Hollisey may be either a transcription error or is easily confused for another name, there are not many about on freeBMD

Long shot but there's a marriage

James Hollesy to possibly Jane Read

1881 shows Jessie age 16, Daniel age 15 and Albert age 6 as servants with a Read family

but 20 years on, Albert (though he's now age 30 Undecided) is still with the same family as Brother in law - coincidence?

Unfortunately there are only marriages on the IGI for Langport, no christenings.  I'll have a look on the BIVRI........nope not there either  Sad  You'll need someone with access to Langport parish records.

Thanks for that info and sorry for delay in getting back to you. just started with rootschat and couldnt navigate to this area.

Jane is her married name (presumed married anyway). Francis is part of my line and that year works for him.
