Can anyone help me I have come to a brick wall   My Great Great Grand-father was Richard Nutton Born about 1942 in Aberford Yorkshire possible family address 1 Grove Terrace . Ratten Row.Aberford. Married to Ann surname unknown. I am now needing to find out Richard parents names etc and also more about his wife.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who can help

Do you mean 1842?

Have you got them on later censuses? Either before or after marriage. - Let us know all what you have got on him and his wife, then we will get searching. Dont want to dupicate.

Ann Cross, or Anne Farndle/Farnon

If you get your great grandad's birth cert it will clarify his mums maiden name, so you can trace the right lady!

It's always a good idea to get a certificate to confirm information.

However, I think in this case it will be Ann Farndale  Wink

The 1871 says she was born 1847 Kings Wilton, and there is no Ann Cross ticking that box;  however Ann Farndil (sic) appears on the 1851 born  1847 Kings Wilton  Wink
