Mary PLOWMAN c.1738 East Stoke/Lytchett Minster

Hi

I am searching for any information on Mary Plowman born c.1737/8?, to John Plowman and Mary Stickland who married in East Stoke 16/01/1736.  Baptisim records at East Stoke on opcdorset start 1731 but I cannot find her there.  John Plowman came from Lytchett Minster and I have found other siblings John 1739, George 1745 & William 1746 there, but no sign of Mary.  Mary married James Hood in East Stoke 29/05/1760. 

Fingers crossed that someone may have the missing link I have been looking for.

On the Lytchett Minster OPC site there is only one baptism for 1737/38 it then says entries possibly missing until 21st Jan 1738.

So looks like a lot of records are missing between 1737/38 so explains why you cant find her?

Hi Maggie,

I have just discovered that I am descended from the Plowman family in Dorset. 

I have John Plowman who married Elizabeth Barnes on 14.1.1762 at Lytchett Minster and they had nine children.  I am just wondering if this is the John Plowman that you are referring to as being born in 1739.  Do you happen to know who your John married?
