Baptism lookup: Westfield CLARKE

Hello there.  I am trying to trace my ancestors - the Clarke family who are found in Piddington, Northamptonshire in 1825 but who we believe may have been originally from Buckinghamshire.  I am not familiar with the county records, but is it possible to do a search of all parishes for a baptism?

I am looking for Westfield Clarke who married in 1791 so presumably would have been baptised about 1770?? 

Any assistance gratefully received, thanks.

   Hi Mark....

  Without an idea of parish it would be too much for a search due to sheer number of parishes in Bucks.
  Have a look at the Buckinghamshire family history web site

  www.bucksfhs.org.uk

 they offer a great search line and can blanket search a name through their data base covering  the parishes they have transcribed details are on the site.

  As for Westfield working on an estate for The Marquis I am not sure many records for the main estate at Stowe survived due to how the estate was sold off. The school may have a records department. The gardens are maintained by the National Trust but the school has a preservation trust  administering the much needed repairs and the house is coming alive more each time we go there.

Thank you for responding Tazzie.

Unfortunately it looks like the BFHS's records are currently offline (if I'm understanding that note on their home page correctly) with no idea of when they will be back.  Any other sources you could suggest?

I was not aware of the history of the Stowe estate (as my family has been resident in Ireland for the past 3 generations) but now that I know that is where the estate was, I will try a few more sources online to see what I can discover about their records.

   Hi Mark.....

  On the home page for Bucksfhs on the left is a main menu box look down that and click on Database searches it will bring up correct page.
  The search that has ceased is a seperate one .
I live fairly near to Stowe so visit often however I have stray Liscoe names over in Ireland., Meath & Cavan.

Ah - found it thanks!  It seems the online application for these searches are currently unavailable so you have to use snail mail.  Ah well, it's certainly worth a shot.  Thanks again for the tip,
