I've just sent a reply to a query about the Barony of Glencarn (Glencairn) in Co. Antrim to a poster on another site.

I couldn't find such a Barony in Ireland but found a Barony of Glencairn & Sheriffdom of Dumfries http://tinyurl.com/djll89

Hi,
thanks. I am aware of the parish of glencairn. The death I am researching happened at Parkfield and was registered at Moniaive in the District of  Glencairn in the county of Dumfries. I am still trying to find where that Parkfield was/is  but still no luck but thanks for your efforts.
