Question for Moderators ?
« on: Friday 13 March 09 09:09 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

I have just received the personal belongings of a relative of mine , his name was Fr. Seamus Sheeran. He grew up in Durrow, Co. Laois ,Ireland. He was a missionary Priest and was stationed in Port Elizabeth ,South Africa.

In his belongings were some mass cards of family member that died in Co. Laois. Some of the name I don't recognize as family and I was wondering if I could post pics of those mass cards for anyone who might recognize the family name? These mass cards have pictures of the people on them and I thought they might be valuable to anyone researching these people .

Is this okay ?

Thanks,
Megan

Hi Megan

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Your suggestion sounds good, as long as the people concerned didn't die very recently (we try not to post anything that might prove distressing for relatives that haven't "heard").

If you need help with scan sizes etc, please see the topic about resizing images or give a shout.  It would probably be a good idea to post each on individually, with a suitable title, so that pages don't take ages to load.

Kind regards, Arranroots  Wink

Hi Arranroots,

Thank you , I will post them idividually like you have said. The dates range from 1934 to 1957, so I think it should be okay.

Thank you,
Megan
