looking for the parents and possibly grandparents of john evans born 1st jan 1859 married mary? died 7th jan 1935 can anyone help please!!
have come across more info
parents might have been william terry?1813/mary evans?1816

It's a common name. Undecided

Any idea where he was born/married?  Have you found him in a census?

bearkat's right I'm afraid. Its going to be almost impossible if you don't have any more info than that. I just looked on www.freebmd.ork.uk, and there were 93 John Evans births registered in the Jan-Mar qtr of 1859, plus a further 28 John 'something' Evans. On top of that, we know that before 1874 a good number of births were never registered at all.

Even if we assume he married between about 1877 (18yrs old) and 1889 (30 yrs old), and using a wife's name 'Margaret', we have a list of 244 possible marriages. Interestingly though, none of those were in Kent. Most, as you might expect, were in Wales.

So any other information you have will help narrow it down. Do you know where they lived when he died. Its just possible they were in the same area in 1911, the last available census near that date.
