I have made a survey of the burial ground at Kirkton of Lochalsh, Ross-shire, and feel this stone, photo no. C96, is your family.

Transcript of inscription
C 96) Erected by Finlay Macrae, Duirinish, in loving memory of his children Duncan & Annabella who died in infancy. John born 16th October 1874, died 29th April 1891. His beloved wife Annabella Macdonald died 1st August 1906, aged 62 years. The said Finlay Macrae died 8. March 1919. Jessie (daughter) died 9. August 1921.

Research notes   Finlay, Tenant Durinish – parents Duncan McRae & Annabella Macrae. Anabella McDonald – parents John MacDonald & Matilda MacKenzie.
Finlay & Anabella married 3 March 1864, Applecross ages 27 & 21 respectively.
Finlay HCM p.463, d3.

The History of the Clan Macrae - HCM p.463, d3. is available to read on-line. http://www.archive.org/details/historyofclanmac00macr

Perhaps the death dates of the children will give you further information, visit www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk you probably know it well. I note you seem to have a different death date and place for Finlay , as I read it “the said Finlay” is the family father.

Hope this is of some help. I could give you a photo of the stone, it will be available to view at www.rosshireroots in a few weeks.
