ARMAGH CENSUS RECORDS

The 1821 Census for Forkhill Parish, Co. Armagh is available at www.emeraldancestors.com from 15 January 2008 
 
The census database now includes nearly 6,500 names of residents living in the Parish of Forkhill, County Armagh in 1821.

The database includes the name, age, occupation and relationship to the head of household for all residents recorded within the Parish.

Townlands covered include:-Aughanadove, Aughenduff, Ballykeel, Carrickasticken, Carrickildreen, Carricknagavanagh, Carriff, Cashel, Clarkill, Cloughwhinny, Doctors Quarter, Latbirged, Levelamore, Lisnalee, Longfield, Moffoner, Mullaghbawn, Shanrow, Shean, Sleavegullion, Tiffcrum, Tullymacrieve.


Original spelling has been preserved in this transcription, so members should be conscious of surname and placename variations when searching the records. Although only a small proportion of the surnames covered in these records, the following is a list of prevalent family surnames included in the census:-
