BUTCHART/GRINDROD Families
« on: Monday 23 March 09 11:34 UTC (UK) »

New to list so I hope that i have this right. I am seeking information on the Butchart and Grindrod families. They lived in the Dumfries-Chapel street area of Luton about the mid 40s. Any help would be most appreciated.

Robert, Welcome to rootschat.

Are you asking about the 1840s or 1940s?

Perhaps a little more info- such as a few complete names and approx date of birth ,will enable someone to idenitfy your lot in the 19th C census, if it's 19th C you need.

Also if you go to  familysearch- the LDS website, you can search free the 1881 census and see if you recognise anyone there.

Good hunting,
