Hello
I am interested in making a connection with anyone researching the Mear(e)s or Summons families from Haverfordwest/Pembroke area.

William Meares married Mary Richards (Widow) at the Haroldston St Issells Church in 1829.  They had 4 children, Mary, Emma, Samuel and Elizabeth who died, sadly followed by Mary the mother shortly after.  Samuel joined the Army and married in England.  Mary and Emma went to Bristol and Emma married Richard Summons from Pembroke in Bristol in 1859.

There is a possible connection to Samuel Owen Meares (Curate) in H'west around the same time as William was living there but I have been unable to make this connection so far.  Owen is used as a second name throughout the family in each generation, so I believe there is an Owen marriage somewhere but again unable to find it.  Love to swap info. with anyone working with any of these families.  Thanks for listening  Grin  Smiley
