IGI lists one child for Thomas McGivern & Mary McGuire:
1. Richard born 17 Jan.1880 Cloonclare dist., Leitrim.

You could try putting different words into a search engine like Google- "rainbow ballroom", "ballroom of romance" "john mcgivern glenfarne; "mcgivern glenfarne" to see if any interesting websites come up.

Thanks aghadowey,
I know all about The Rainbow and the McGIVERN family to date. Looking to go forward from William. Hopefully you just gave me a brother that I didn't know about.William also had a sister Ellen Louise b.1883 d.1928. I suspect there are a few more siblings to unearth. No TV in those days.lol.

Hi viddavid,

I searched for McGivern in Griffith's Primary Valuations ... there weren't many, if any, in Leitrim.

The vast majority of people with this surname came from Co. Down

Antrim 2,  Armagh  9, Belfast city,  4  Cork  6, Down  101 and  Roscommon  1

Thank you Christopher for the info. I have a vague recollection of Roscommon being mentioned by past relatives. It is good to see so many more Irish records being put on the world wide web.
