Are there any local Sutherland newspapers online?  My great great aunt was killed in a car accident near Altnahara in 1910 whilst on holiday and I was wondering if there were reports of it in local papers.

The Northern Times seems to be the local Sutherland newspaper. Just Google it.
They have a section where you can email them with requests for research information, Not sure if they have an archive section, but have a look.

Thanks for the advice Wini - I contacted the editor and he kindly sent me photocopies of the article.  Turned out he was `into` family history and was glad to help out a fellow researcher.
