Hello Sally & Monica,
Thanks for continuing to build up the whole picture. That John who went to Australia although in the right place, Kilmallie was born a bit earlier, around 1814. How many months will it take to do all the McPHEEs and CAMERONs in Kilmallie?
If only we could answer these two:
Who did John (parents Alexander & Catherine) b. 1817 marry?
Can we find an Effy McPHEE born around 1831 to parents Donald, farmer, and a Jessie CAMERON?
I have a bit more information re Catherine McPHEE born 23 Nov 1853 Kintallen farm Duror parish, Argyll. The details were on an Argyll film in a FHC in USA and found by another researcher.
Regards,
Fred

Regards,
Dave

Hello Cathy,
Fort William is now in Inverness but some old records are listed as 'North Argyll'.
I don't have any SINCLAIR in my tree. McPHEE (and variations on that name) is a very common name so any connections may be in previous generations.
Re James McDONALD I have sent you a PM.
Regards,
Fred
