I suppose if money was scarse they felt it was better spent educating the boys, after all they would eventually have to support a family whereas the girls would probably marry and become someone else's problem!!!! I think its great when you follow someone through the census's and see them "make good". It cannot have been easy.

In my excitement of getting the marriage cert I forgot to post this. They married at Aston Juxta giving there address as Duddeston - not sure where this is. They say they are of full age and fathers names given as Jonas Taylor and Joseph Perry. Neither is marked as deceased but i think both may have been. Thanks for your help everyone.
