Daly of Lochee

Catherine Daly of Lochee claims to have been born Aberdeen 1852 -no record to that  fact. Died 1924- have records. Claims her parents were Samuel Daly and Charlotte Daly:nee Chalmers, again I cannot find records of this event.
Any help in clearing this mystery will be much appreciated. Catherine died as a single woman although she had three children, Alexander,William and Betsy. I suspect that the father of these children was Alexander Butchart  b1848  of Dundee who died in America
