Could anyone look up James Gartside b c1780 wife Mary ? farmer or retired farmer could be from Bank Tod Saddleworth, Yorks.

You may do best buying the census index & transcription for Saddleworth. It's Lancashire, not Yorkshire.

I think whoever sorts out the borders there lays out a different boundary every census. Living 10 miles from it gives a distinct home advantage.
