Darney's born in Waterford

Hi,

have been told today that the Darney family I am tracing, thought to be from Cork, were originally born in Waterford.  I have  the Griffith Valuation listing for them in Cork but learned they were born in Waterford.  Is there anyone that can verify this?  Long shot I know, but if anyone can help it would be gratefully received,

Hi Pip,

I'm sorry I can't verfify your Darney family being born in Waterford.

The Valuation shows one Darney and one Derney (maybe Darney) in the parish of Dungarvan.

Patrick Darney, Clonanagh, Dungarvan. Waterford
Michael Derney, Town of Abbeyside,Dungarvan. Waterford
