Looking for Celia Blanche Wheeler b1864 Salisbury

Parents Frederick Leach Wheeler (in the Drapery trade) and Esther (nee Barber)


1871 -  75 Brighton Rd, Kings Norton
1881 -  8 St Pauls Sq, York
1891 -  A Drapers Assistant in Bridgnorth, Salop

Where did she go after 1891 ? Cannot see a suitable marriage or death for her.

Hi,

You may have discounted this possibility already but there is a Celia Blanche Wheeler on the UK Incoming Passenger Lists on Ancestry.co.uk.

She is arriving at Liverpool from Canada on the 30th December 1922 on the "Montclare". Her age is listed as 50 which I know doesn't quite tally with your information. She is a governess and her intended address in England is Walkroyd School, Strayedeane, Harrogate. If this is the right person it would explain why you can't find her on the 1901 census.

Sue - That's looks like her - She would really be 58 in 1922.

Harrogate is where her parents were on the 1901 Census, and she had a younger sister, Esther who was also a governess at that time (1901).

I had a quick look at the Canada Census for 1901 & 1911 and couldn't see her there then.
