finding Hunts parishes in 1841 on Ancestry
« on: Thursday 26 March 09 18:23 UTC (UK) »

I think I may be losing my marbles...... I use Ancestry to search censuses all the time and thought I was pretty good at finding my way around and dealing with it's little issues!

However, I cannot find anyone listed in Glatton or Holme in the 1841.  What am I missing???

I have several families who should be there and just aren't. Searching on just the village name - brings up no-one.  Does someone have the reference number so I can try that way?

Any help appreciated,

Louise

Can you try searching in the hundred?
Norman-cross seems to be the one, although I googled it rather than have insider knowledge

HO107/452 books 1 to 10 are missing from Ancestry.  I have emailed them twice about this;  the first time I received an acknowledgment of the problem and a statement that something would be done, the second email (a year later, after nothing WAS done) was just ignored.
