Perhaps someone can put me on the right track.
I have Susanna COPP 1860 - 1944 married in Camelford Cornwall c1880 to Thomas Henry Rescorl.
Susanna's parents are (I think) Robert Copp and Maria Miller. Can anyone confirm this?

On the 1861 census there is a Susanna Copp, age 1 living with her parents John and Fanny in Bideford. Have you already seen this and if not would you like the details ?

Certainly would - yes please
but - on her marriage certificate is says Fathers Name = "Robert Copp (Deceased) Labourer."
Your details may be someone else.

This looks more promising now I read the return, it looks like Susanna was actually the daughter of Maria who is a widow. Providing the enumerator has her name correct, because he has dittoed the surname from the head of the house down.

I now make it 1861 Census 1871 Census
Mary Miller Grandma 69
Maria 30 dtr Maria Dtr 40
her children Mary 3 her children missing Mary
Susanna 1 Susanna 11
(James is son of Grandma
= sister of Maria)
Perhaps Mary died between 1861 and 1871.
Robert Copp (Maria's husband who died 1860) was the brother of John (where they were staying in the 1861 Census)

From the 1861 Census I feel John Copp was born Devon Wear Gifford c1832???
Was there a Robert Copp born around that time? ?
Perhaps their births say parents names.

I have Copps but mine were in Tiverton Devon...are Bideford & Tiverton close to one another.
