Creaghadoos advice please
« on: Friday 27 March 09 11:14 GMT (UK) »

Good morning

In my quest to find some more on my ancestors I wondered if anyone could tell me please where the Church of Ireland Parish Church for Creaghadoos would have been around 1857 before and after.
What was/is it called?
Does it hold it's own bmd records or where would they be held.?

Would there have been a school around the 1860/70's?
Where was it and do they have records?

Other than the 1857 Griffith Valuations are there any other records in which I could track my ancestors down in please?

If the Griffith Valuations were done betweenn 1847 and 1864 - where can these records be looked at please?

That's all I can think of at the moment, so hope someone can fill in any details for me.

Many thanks
Kind regards

Griffith's Valuation was done over a number of years and the range of years refers to valuations everywhere.
To search Griffith's Valuation:

Creaghdoos townland is in the civil parish of Taughboyne. Here a bit about the Parish Church:

All you have to do is google 'taughboyne parish church' to find more information
