Grave in Southam Rd Cemetery
« on: Saturday 28 March 09 08:56 UTC (UK) »

Don't know if anyone can help, but have been in touch with some Amarican descendants of William & Sarah French and they have asked if it would be possible to get a photo of the grave & inscription of Sarah in Southam Rd Cemetery,Banbury. I have the grave number & who is in it.
I live to far away to do it.
Could anyone be of assistance.

Hi Derek,
If you don't get an answer here maybe you could check out RAOGK and see if there is a volunteer covering Oxford.
Banbury is just up the road...

Hello Derek,
Perhaps you might get some assistance if you got in touch with the local Council in Banbury who manage Southam Road Cemetery?
Here is the cemetery webpage.

Good luck with your quest

Hi Derek,

If you don't get any help from anyone else, I might be able to do it for you.   Smiley

If you send me the details I'll see what I can do.  I can't guarantee doing it

quickly though!  I'm going away next week for a few days, but it would be a

pleasure to help a fellow Rootschatter.   Kiss

I would LOVE some photos of my ancestors graves, I think we (someone)

should start a new topic offering to do this in our particular area.  I have helped

other people before in parts of the Banbury area.   Huh

Hi Foz.
Thank you very, very much for your offer, however, I have just found somebody to do it for me next week,it was very generous of her to offer.
I don't hold much hope that she will find the grave as the lady from the council has told me that there are not many tombstones left in the area of the cmetery where the grave is.
Just got to keep myfingers crossed!!

Thanks again
Derek
