Hello
I am trying to find the parents of John Brunt born 1872 in Eckington and Mary Marsh born about 1877 in Eckington. I think they got married July Aug Sept 1897 (Chesterfield Vol 7b pp1215) I have ordered the certificate which will hopefully give me my next lead in terms of parents names but as you know these can take some time and you all know the feeling of not being able to wait / move on?
Hope someone can help me with any information about these 2 relatives

Can't find a Brunt/Lakin marriage.

Hi,
If you read the actual Census Sheet for 1871 Census RG10/3618/25/44 the age of
Hannah E. Hulley is actualy 37, given this age she could have been married previously
and the son Jarvis age 9 could be from her previous marriage. He may not be illigitmate.
Marriage June Q 1864 Sheffield 9C 421 Certainly looks possible, however there is a
bride missing from this entry.

Yes it does look 37 now I have a proper look. It also says she is born Eckington.
Is this a red herring - Birth - June 1844, Sheffield 22 487 - Hannah Hulley
It will be interesting to see what the marriage cert says.

The marriage cert would only give John's father's name and his occupation. But it would be interesting to see what it says.
