I was so excited ....... he's sending me the Yad Vashem Bulletin by snail mail !!

I can't see her ! ....
in the front row ... is a man his wife and mother and daughter .... he was the only one who survived the camps ... I think his name was Abraham ... I'd have to look it up ...
but I can't see Malka !!

I got the Yad Vashem Bulletin yesterday in the mail ...... not an awful lot more than what we already knew but two things that were unknown .....
The girls next to her in the picture were sisters Rachela and Bluma Wyszogrodzka ...... all three were all badly beaten right after this photo was taken ... but as Malka was taking a blow to the head ... she heard a shot and Bluma was dead .....
In later years Malka was 75% disabled because of her injuries ......
Its amazing to me ... just how much a person can endure ..... what women these girls were !!

What amazes me are the culprits who could do such a thing....atrocities that still go on to this day...because they had "orders".

Moi aussi, j'ai été frappée par la photo montrant Malka Zdorjewicz, dans le ghetto de Varsovie. Je n'ai presque rien trouvé sur elle sur le net, à part votre échange de mails, sur ce site. Mais j'ai retenu les noms des jeunes filles qui se tenaient à côté d'elle et j'ai fait un search. Le nom de famille de Malka est un peu changé, c'est peut être la raison du peu de choses qu'on a pu trouver sur elle jusqu'à maintenant.

I too was struck by the photo of Malka Zdorjewicz in the Warsaw ghetto. I found hardly anything about her on the net apart from your posts here. But I used the names of the girls next to her to search, and although it's late, here's what I found: http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v14n2p7.html
Malka's surname is slightly different, which is perhaps why we have been able to find out little about her until now.
