I'm trying to find out who has lived in my house - 14 Church Street, Clun.
The only infomation I have is that the Griffiths family lived there in 1891. Earlier censuses don't seem to specify the house numbers in Church Street - they just say Church Street, which makes it very difficult.
The house was supposed to have been built around 1800 and must have had many owners/tennants since then.
Most houses in Church Street are listed buildings, but not 14, 16, or 18.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I paid to look at the 1901 census for Church Street and I have found by deduction that:
RG13 2508 50 13 3861179 relates to 8 Church St: - Joseph Moreland, head, 41, tailor, b.Wolverhampton - Elizabeth Moreland, wife, 35, b.Shrewsbury - Effie Moreland, dau, 10, b.Shrewsbury - Mirrian Moreland, dau, 5, b.Clun - Lillie Moreland, dau, 4, b.Clun - Doris Moreland, dau, 3, b.Clun
RG13 2508 50 13 3861182 relates to 5 Church St: - George W Roberts, head, 40, Builder & Wheelright, b.Clun - Annie Roberts, wife, 37, b.Kington, Herefordshire - Norman T Dunn, boarder, S, 17, Carpenter & Wheelright, b.Kingsland, Herefordshire - Richard Morris, boarder, S, 21, Carpenter, b.Aston On Clun
Is there an index somewhere that specifies which RG13 number relates to which house (so I don't have to use any more money and go straight to number 14)?

To recap
On page 11 Vicarage Rd ends the next house is Church Cottage then Church Street, one house. page 12 10 houses Church Street page 13 7 houses " page 14 4 houses " and the Cymshedie House in which resides the Bailif of the farm This ends the Enumerators district 4
No house numbers are given, you may be able to allocate numbers knowing the area. If you can, tell me which, on what page and I will tell you who is in it.

I went to the Shropshire Archives in Shrewsbury and looked at the Electoral Registers. Church Street didn't seem to have any numbers until 1915. 1922 was the first time 14 Church Street was mentioned - being lived in at the time by Herbert Lancett. I have found all subsequent occupiers since then, but it appears very difficult to find who lived there between 1800 (when it was supposedly built) and 1922. As mentioned before, all houses on Church Street are grade II listed except for 14, 16, and 18. I suspect these were originally outbuildings for the Crown Inn (now the Crown House B&B) and were turned into dwelling houses later on.

Hello again
The owner would have access to the deeds of the property, it is surprising what is included in the deeds but it would just be owners of the property and the land it was built on. Some deed stores charge to look at your own deeds so get an estimate first. I looked at the 1891 census, which indicates from the 1901 names, a random procedure in the street by the enumerator unless people had exchanged houses. The 1911 census gives a postal address and in the ones I have purchased each gave a number or a house name so this may be worth a look, at £3.20 a go its expensive curiosity.
