1841 Census Lookup Please - COX

Charles Cox born about 1796 in Buckinghamshire.  He was a librarian on his son's marriage certificate of 1854.

His son was Henry Cox born 1828 in Chalford, Buckinghamshire who married Maria Tucker 9 Aug 1849 in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

Sorry - I put the wrong date of marriage in the first request.  Embarrassed

  Henry Cox bapt 1828 22 june      Chalfont St Giles.

   Charles Cox  married Mary Long         Chalfont St Giles 18 june 1827.

  Having parents names may help.

I still can't find Henry (b 1828) Mary (b 1786 ish) and Charles Cox (b 1791 ish)
in the 1841 census in Buckinghamshire.  Sad

Are Amersham & Eton in Buckinghamshire?  There seems to be a Henry Cox 1829 and Charles Cox 1796 in the 1841 census - I don't know if they are together! Smiley

Yes please - I know I'm clutching at straws!!!
I also noticed that my Mary Cox's birth year is between 1785-1787.  "Tazzie" posted that Charles Cox married Mary Long but her christening year is 1791 so I'm not sure about that either!   Huh

First - Mary's baptism  -  (a) the dates given in census returns are not usually 100% accurate  -  many people were unaware of their exact date of birth  Huh and (b) the baptism date is no real indication of birth date - children were often baptised several years after their birth  Smiley

all born in county.

That is the Henry born 1829 Amersham which you mentioned.

There are 3 Henry Cox born and living in Buckinghamshire b. 1830;  none of them have either a Charles or a Mary at the head of the household.

There are 2 Charles Cox born 1796  -  one a labourer, one an agricultural labourer and neither with a 12 year old Henry in their household  Smiley
