Anyone have any info on the above. Father was James and one known son Peter born 1856/57.

there's a possible match on the IFHF website (www.irish-roots.ie) :
Church Baptism Kavanagh Peter 1854 Co. Wicklow
this is using a search on Wicklow RC parish for a father James. There is one other Peter born in that timeframe (1852-1860) but does not seem to be in Wicklow parish.
it's a pay per-view-site (€5 per record) and these are parish register transcripts - there are no marriages available yet.

Hi JMF,
Sorry, I have really nothing further other than that Peter was born in Wicklow and that they moved to Reilly's Bridge, Cabra, Dublin sometime between 1854 and 1873 when their so Peter was married to Rose Reilly. James occupation was listed as labourer on Peters marriage cert.

I don't think I can be of much help, but I will pass on what little information I have. I have Michael Kavanagh no dates of where born with 2 sons. 1 Samuel born c 1851 Wicklow died 1901. He married Ellen Reynolds born Arklow and married c 1872 in Arklow. They had children Thomas bc 1875, Samuel c 1880. Mary c 1882, Charles c 1884, Annie c 1891, Michael c 1897, Bernard c 1899.
2 James bc 1856 in Wicklow died 1903 married Catherine Wall of Wicklow 6th July 1879. James was responsible for the building of the Fastnet Lighthouse.
