They seem the same family except he keeps changing his PoB but everyone else is the same

Just out of interest.....I can't find any birth for Esther Ann CRONTON.....sounds very similar to COTTON....do you think she was in actual fact a cousin called Cotton and changes a few letters when she married!

I think it should be Croxton. WestmidlandsBMD (http://www.bmsgh.org/wmbmd/index.html)  shows:

Daniel Cotton - Esther A Croxton 1866
Pensnett, St Mark 

The 1861 census shows her in Dudley with parents John and Ann Maria.
