Could anyone please look up any records they have for a Joseph Atwell m Elizabeth Knowler,
around 1780, or even a birth of Joseph around 1760.
I've literally searched everything available on Kent Resources site, as well as memorial inscriptions etc, to no avail.
Now Joseph and Elizabeth lived in Thanet at the birth of their first child in 1780 and the generations that followed were mostly born Thanet, however all church entries for Thanet does not turn up a marriage there. I deduce from that that Joseph came from elsewhere in Kent, and have found some evidence of Atwells around Westerham, and even Chartwell back to about 1300's.
Any information would be greatly received.
