Hi I have reached a dead end and need help!
I am trying to find information on a Mary Ann Scott's parents, who I believe are William Scot who was born 1794, Truro, Cornwall and died about 1850 in Cornwall and Ann Skewes, died about 1850 in Cornwall.
Mary Ann was born 1820 in Truro and died 7 Jan 1892 in Hartlepool, Durham. She married Robert Menhennet 14 Sept 1839 in Truro.
I believe her siblings are: Thomasina, born Henry, born Elizabeth, born might have married a Carne.
I would appreciate any help or ideas.
thank you, Heart 247

Hi kris,
I have read many posts saying you are amazing and I definitely agree!
With your info and mine I believe this is the right family, and now i have souses. I knew there was a high probability that Mary Ann was from St. Marys. Thanks to your marriage info, namely William was a widower, I now believe Dorothy was his first wife. I thought she was his wife before i found the kids listed with Ann. Now it all makes sense. the pieces are falling together. And now i have the children's birth dates along with Thomas. his middle name , Skewes confirms the family for me.
Thank You!!! Heart
PS Do you have any ideas of where to look next for William's and Ann's Parents?

hi
In 1841 there is a William and Ann Scott living in Francis Street, Kenwyn. William 60 bc 1781, Gardner (sic) Ann 65 bc 1776
Now if your Thomas William Scott married Dorothy Pascoe in 1798 there is no way he was born in 1794
there is this entry on IGI, extracted.
Ann SKEWES d/o Thomas Skewes and Thomasin chr; 10 FEB 1776 Kenwyn
Can't see their marriage

Hi
Possibles for William Scott on IGI ...
William Scott s/o John Scott and Mary 6 SEP 1778 Antony, Cornwall
William Scott s/o John Scott and Mary 24 JUN 1781 Antony, Cornwall
Wm Henry Scott s/o John Scott and Mary 25 SEP 1785 Antony
There is a St Anthony (in Roseland) with it's registration district being Truro.
Also William's age in 1841 may be rounded up or down ... can't remember which way

Hi Kris
Sorry , my post was confusing .... I meant the marriage of Ann Skewes parents ..Thomas Skewes and Thomasin . It looks promising that these are her parents as one of William Scott and Ann Skewes' daughters was names Thomasin b 1811
I am trying to find information on a Mary Ann Scott's parents, who I believe are William Scot who was born 1794, Truro, Cornwall and died about 1850 in Cornwall and Ann Skewes, died about 1850 in Cornwall.
I couldn't find them in 1841 based on William being bc 1794.
Nice to see you Kris

Hi Kris and Deb,
Thank you for your help! With the information you gave me (and thanks Deb for catching the birth date error for William) I think I have fit all the pieces together. Tell me what you think.
Williams birthday is 24 Jun 1781 and his parents are John Scott and Mary. The 3 Williams from the IGI you posted are brothers. They all have the same parents in the same extraction source and the dates fit together.
William(1781) married Dorothy Pasco 14 Jan 1798, Truro. After she died, William married Ann Skewes and they had the children already posted.
Ann's parents are Thomas Skewes and Thomasin.
How does this look to you? Does this seem right to you too?
Thanks! Heart
