Gt Gt Grandfather Shepherd from Aberdeen 1827-1910
1841 lookup request

I would appreciate a look up in the 1841 census for the North Collingham area.

I am looking for
1. Matthew and Mary Patchett (Paget, Padgett etc) ages approx. 38 and 32 . He was born Southwell, Notts, she in North Collingham.
2. Thomas and Elizabeth Blackburn (Blackbourn) (Mary's parents) ages very approx. 60's. It's possible Elizabeth was a widow by then.

Any info greatfully received.

Hi,
Have looked in the 1841 Census for Nottingham all spellings Patchett/Blackburn with NO luck.

Thanks anyway, Mable. I think I might try asking in the Lincs area as Collingham and Southwell are pretty near the border and I think they eventually ended up in Bassingham in the 1880's.

That's great, 'Robin'.  I have had a lot of trouble finding this family, and it's now clear why! moving across the border from one county to another shouldn't be allowed!!
