Hi

How old was he when he died?

Do you have a copy of his daughters marriage cert which will show her fathers "proper" christian name and also her mothers name and maiden name

Hi Carole

pretty sketchy info I'm afraid.   I am going by letters written by a Bella Robson of Jedburgh in the 60s.   Adam is the son (by 2nd marriage) of an Adam (Ned) Robson  born 12 August 1866.   I cannot find the mother of young Adam but believe he died in 1967.   He must have been born after 1901.    Had no luck in Scots People.   Also from Bellas letter Jock had a fish shop in Jedburgh

This is a probably 1901 entry for Adam senior as he was possibly a widower at that time.  The full census images are not available on Ancestry - only on Scotlands People so I can't check

6 North St Dennistoun

Adam Robson 34 b Hawick Roxburgh- Rail Eng Maker Iron Cutter Hydraulic
Janet 2 b Glasgow
Margaret 1 b Glasgow

Also in household are the following Miller family (I wonder if Adam married Elspeth?)

Elspeth Miller 34  b Galashiels, Selkirk  servant
Andrew 15  b Kelso, Roxburgh - boarder
Mary  11  b Galashiels boarder
Nellie  5 b Galashiels boarder
