looking for Elizabeth Dulieu who married Thomas Cordell early 1800s and their family especially their daughter Elizabeth who married Thomas Garrett.
This would be in the Bethnal Green/Poplar areas

Hi. Do you know approx when their daughter Elizabeth got married? Have you any idea when Eliz. was born?
If ihe married  after 1837 you should be able to find it in freebmd .

Ok, I think I've just found the family unit on the 1891 census in Chadwell St Mary's Essex -  I cant make out the street address.

there is a death entry in Orsett Essex for a

Thomas Garrett age 53 in the first quarter of 1899

Vol 4a
pg 273

which would fit with him being Elizabeth's hubby.

i havent found my granddad on the census-he is David james born 1890 but this is definately my family.

Your Grandad David James Garrett is shown on the census but they only listed him with his first name as I have too. He is shown as David Garrett bn Tilbury in the 1891 aged 4 months.



Then the 1901 I only listed him as David.  Since it was the same family as seen in the 1891 I saved my typing finger and didn't add any surname in the list.



So we at least we know as you say it's the correct family.
