Greetings all

I've been looking into our family tree, at least this line (Mowat of Birsay) at least

I'm a complete novice and not sure how sharing of information works, format etc.

I've managed to cobble together some infomation leading back to Andrew Mowat b.1763 who married Jean Johnston b.1767 on 21 Feb 1788.

Our line goes from there to
Cesar (Caesar?) Mowat+ Margaret Johnstone

Ebenezer Mowat+ Ann McKenzie

Ebenezer Mowat + Jane Bews

to Jessie Ann Mowat + William Afred Hunking (my grand parents)

Just wondering if gaps can be filled by anyone?

Hi there, dont know how much of this you have but here goes:
Andrew Mowat & Jean Johnston of Banks, Northside, Birsay had: Andrew 27/6/1795, Ceasar 6/11/1799, Grizel 27/7/1788 and James 10/7/1790
Ceasar Mowat & Margaret Johnston Banks Birsay had: Ebenezer 12/4/1841, George 23/7/1837, John 23/1/1831, Margaret 19/10/1833 and Thomas 20/10/1825
Ebenezer and Anne McKenzie had Ebenezer 19/6/1871 and David 6/8/1868 also Birsay

That,s all I,ve found so far

No I,m not related, just enjoy looking for relatives! Have you tried the Orkney Family History Society or a search of the cemeteries in Birsay
