Sausse John Wlliam
« on: Friday 09 October 09 09:56 UTC (UK) »

Hi
I managed to find the family in the1901 census, but in the National Archives 1911 shows no Sausses in Donegal but I know he lived in Raphoe. Would anybody have any suggestions of where else I should look?

could this be them mis-transcribed as Sanse ?

the building return (form B1) for the property lists the head of household as John Wm. Sauce

Hi Shane

You are a star!! This is them, as he couldn't read or write Sausse became Sauce and John Wm became John Lom. John Jnr and Cassy (Casandra) have signed the Ulster Covenant in 1912 as I have copies of that, place of signing Manorcunningham. What a great help you have been thank you so much.

Kind regards
Phyllis
