Looking for 1891 look up of John William Mellow
I have his marriage 1897 to Mary Elizabeth Booth but nothing in 1901, but found a JWM in Co Mayo Ireland as a coastguard in 1901 but as born in wales, and that is the John im looking for's profession on his marriage cert, but before 1897 i can't find anything.
He had a daughter in 1902 by the name of Dora.

Do you have any ages or estimated date of birth for John?
Where was he married to Elizabeth Booth - and how old was she?
What makes you suspect Yorkshire as his residence in 1891?
Post whatever info you have and lets see what comes up.

In his marriage cert he's down as 27 and Mary as 24 this was in 1897. They were married in Shipley, and his daughter Dora was born in Shipley(windhill) in 1902 and was then brought up in Ireland so im told

OK - lets get Wales out of the way: he doesn't seem to have been there in 1891. Even misreading it as Mellor doesn;t find anyone there.
Neither are there any Mellows or Mellors showing in 1891 as living in England, born in Wales.
What about Mary Elizabeth Booth - in the 1901 census, where was she shown as being born?

Pauline no i haven't found the street in 1901,whoever wrote this marriage cert ,his writing is atrocious ive looked for what it might be but no joy.except they both lived in shipley,Mary's looks like Barnet st and johns looks like watkin st.

Paul his father is down as William Mellow-Coalminer and Marys is what could be abram or william you've got to see this writing to believe it ,its a nightmare but he's down as a blacksmith.
