Hi All Buchans and ancestors,
I can trace my family tree to Roxbrughshire Ancrum as far as 1759 George Buchan my gt gt gt grandfather.my question is has any one got any information on Dr William Buchan,born in Ancrum 1729,ie brothers sisters father ?As you can see my tree points very much to this family only 30 years between.Ancrum is a very small village to day,200 years ago it would have been just a few houses.
Any help would be appreciated

William Buchan was a Scottish medical writer. He was born in 1729 and died in 1805. He was the first to publish a domestic guide to medicine, which he did with the publication of Domestic Medicine: or, the Family Physician which was published in 1769.

If you google his name there is some more pieces abt him.
