This page is well worth reading
- if you are thinking of making a web-site and haven't started yet,
- if you already have a web-site and want to have another think about it.
- because it is there, and well worth reading !!!!!

the page is split into 12 main sections with lots of links for further info. at  each section.

Table of Contents (These are the basic headers, the actual T of C is much more compehensive):

1. Find space on a web server to store your web pages
(irrelevant for us, we already have RootsChat webspace  Grin so, again, Many thanks Trystan !!)
2. Plan the layout, format and content for your web site
3. creat the web pages: HTML editors and tutorials
4. Tools for enhancing your web pages
5. Proofread, inspect and validate the text and HTML code ....
6. Upload the pages to the web server
7. Check all pages fro accessibility
8. Advertise your new web site
9. common web site problems that I see every day
10. Other web sites for gen. home page creation
11. Books that Cyndi owns
12. Create a link to "Cyndi's Gen. Home page construction kit"

My suggestion:
- read the whole page, resisting the impulse to click on all sorts of interesting links
- then read it again, and then go clicking and exploring !

Even better, print the whole page first, for future reference (about 32 A4 pages)
