Hi,
I am looking to find a baptism for a Richard Tuckwell born 1801C in Culham. I wonder if anyone has access to these records?

There are quite a few Tuckwell baptisms in Culham, but none, I regret, for Richard in 1801. Would any of the other ones be useful to you?

Hi KN,
Yes, the other Tuckwells would be useful. I have a feeling that my Richard may have had a brother called Thomas, so any information you could give me would be great as i may be able to tie it in later,
Best Wishes Sue

Hi Sue,
Thanks very much for that information. That is my Richard as he did marry Lydia Smith and died in 1855. I suspect the Thomas you found is his brother. I just wish I could find his baptism!
Thanks again, Sue.

Hi Jill,
I don't think so. He married as Tuckwell and he is Tuckwell in the two censuses he appeared in. I also think that the Thomas Tuckwell who married Sarah Austin will turn out to be his brother as Sarah and her daughters were living a couple of doors from them in the census.

Hi Sue,
Richard and Lydia Tuckwell were living in Sutton Courtney in 1841 which I believe is only about 2 miles from Culham. Is it possible to check there for a baptism for him?
